Quality Management
Although there is no such thing as a "perfect home", Conser
Design & Construction has instituted processes and procedures to insure
that your home will be built to the highest quality.
We begin by taking the time to insure
that your home is going to be built the way that you want it through a
series of meetings directly with the builder. The Pre-Construction
Conferences are designed to keep the lines of communication open and
flowing. When construction begins, each Conser Home is visually
inspected at each stage of production by Conser Design & Construction's
management and/or team members. Additionally, you are provided
opportunities to inspect your home at our "Framing and Electrical
Walk-through", which is scheduled after the framing and roofing of your
home, and also by appointment. Each Trade Partner inspects their
own workmanship and materials, and of course, each stage of construction
is also inspected by the local building official to make sure the home
meets or exceeds the existing building code.
We want to customize the home to your needs and wants and have an
open communication policy. We build the house according to
your decor selections, appliance selections, lighting selections and
other customizable options.
At Conser Design & Construction, we prepare an extensive Home
Owner's Manual for each of our customer's which include product
warranties, tips on how to care for your home and appliances,
disclosures, your various decor selections and paint colors, and a
list of Trade Partners who helped to build your home. We track and
monitor any items from the "Final Home Owner's Orientation and
Walk-Through", which is our final inspection of the home with you.
We adhere to the principles of Total Quality Management and are
always looking for better and more efficient methods to construct
new homes. Your input during and after construction phase is
an important element to our process improvement goals.
With our Quality Management Program, you can be assured that your
home will be free from defects and faults excepting those that are
deemed characteristics of the materials used or those allowable
under the building code or the Conser Design & Construction
Warranty.
Warranty
Conser Design & Construction provides a written warranty covering
structural and cosmetic issues. Of course, items manufactured
by others (like the appliances, roofing, siding, etc.) are under
warranty by those manufacturers. Conser Design &
Construction's warranty does reference the Performance Standards for
Builders and Remodelers Publication. This standard of
construction outlines acceptable and reasonable standards of
construction. The benefit to you, the homeowner, is that much
of the gray area as to what is under warranty is explained to you.
In addition, this publication also explains and outlines what types
of repairs are acceptable under the terms of the warranty.
